We just added some servers to Video2mp3, hopefully you get better performance now, especially in the evening hours.

Some of you had problems with “403 errors” when trying to download the converted video. This is now also fixed.
Good news for Google Chrome users: Chrome YouTube to MP3 Addon is now available.
In the last few weeks we had a lot of downtimes caused by crashed databases and overloading. The reason for these long downtimes was that I was on holiday (far away from any internet access) and so we were not able to fix it promptly. Now everything should be fixed and run as fast as usual, we are very sorry for these downtimes of Video2mp3.
In the following days we are planning to improve the Translations of Video2mp3. We got already a much better Italian translation from Emanuele Fabbri (Thank you very much at this point!)
At the moment we are looking for Translators, especially in the following languages: Portuguese, French, Spanish,
Dutch and Russian.

Today we added MyVideo, Clipfish, Sevenload, Dailymotion and MySpace to the conversion service. The new Firefox addon version 1.0.4 supports these services and is compatible with Firefox 3.5.

Version 1.0.3 of our Firefox Addon is now available, too. It adds now also an Convert HQ button, so now you are able to convert your YouTube videos into MP3 in HQ mode directly.
Today we started the new High Quality conversion service of Video2mp3. For some time YouTube offers you HQ videos: Just add &fmt=18 to the YouTube URL (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eDX3lX6dII&fmt=18). This works also when there is no HQ button at the video player! Besides the video quality also the audio quality is much better (sample rate 44100 instead of 22500).
To get mp3s with better quality we added this method to our conversion service, just select “High Quality” at the converter page. It takes a little bit more time to convert, because the video is much bigger and we have to convert the audio stream from AAC into MP3, but it ends in a good quality 128k-MP3.

Welcome to the new Video2mp3 blog! In the last days there were a lot of changes on Video2mp3.net.
First we developed a new conversion method, which works much faster. The real conversion takes only about 1-3 seconds, the most time is needed by downloading the video file.
Another new thing on the Video2mp3 is the translation of the page into German and Italian. So if you find any mistakes, let us know this, thank you!
